The
Sheridan-Johnson Community Foundation was established
in 1997, and even though it is the youngest in the WYCF affiliate
family, they have been very progressive in their evaluation
process of area grant applications. The affiliate board members
routinely conduct site visits and phone interviews in order
to thoroughly review applications. This affiliate
is committed to helping nonprofits in Sheridan and Johnson
counties become more sustainable by awarding meaningful grants
that truly enhance community building. Their committed and
experienced board actively seeks out and evaluates community
needs as well as educates and encourages vital area non-profits
to build endowments that will ensure their effectiveness
for years to come. |
SJCF Grants
SJCF grants are awarded from various funds advised upon by the SJCF Board including the Sheridan Johnson Community Foundation Endowment Fund, The Sheridan Johnson Community Foundation Opportunities Fund and the Meredith Family Fund.
Eligible Organizations and Activities
Nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation or otherwise tax-exempt agencies that operate in Sheridan And Johnson Counties are eligible to apply. Grants are not made to individuals.
Applications and Deadlines
Applications can be submitted for one of two deadline dates: July 1 and November 1. The application and instructions for completion can be found in the grant section of the WYCF website. Use the Competitive Application Instructions and Forms.
