The Dubois Area Community Foundation is not only an affiliate of the Wyoming Community Foundation, but is a special committee of Dubois Volunteers, Inc., a nonprofit economic and community development organization in Dubois that seeks to promote a stable and diverse economy while preserving and celebrating the uniqueness of Dubois and its natural and historic assets. DACF is charged by DVI to gather charitable donations from donors of all walks of life, grow endowment funds from those assets, and grant endowment earnings to qualified Dubois entities advancing charitable and educational purposes. DACF provides a vehicle for local philanthropy, builds a charitable resource for the community, and encourages new ways to address challenges to sustainable development while enhancing the community’s quality of life for the long term.
