Feed WYOMING 2009

Dear Friends,

Each of us is impacted by the economic challenge of the time in which our country finds itself. While Wyoming is somewhat insulated from national economic conditions, over 50,000 of our citizens do not have enough to eat. 17,000 of them are children.

Inspired by the work of Dr. Martin Luther King and as a response to the call from President-elect Obama to serve the needs of our communities, we would like to ask for your help in a three day effort to raise funds to procure food for those who are hungry in Wyoming.

Feed Wyoming 2009 is a non-partisan, non-denominational statewide campaign. Any money raised will go directly to the purchase of food for people in need. The USDA estimates the cost for a family of four to eat healthfully for one day is approximately $17.50. With the help of the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, a meal for a hungry family of four can be delivered for as little as one dollar.

Please consider helping in the following ways:

- Place a collection box at your place of business on Saturday, Sunday and Monday

- Ask your members, parishioners or constituents to consider a small one-time contribution (we are suggesting the cost that one might spend on one day`s groceries).

- Inspire a group to host a fund-drive in a public place

- Invent another way to help raise resources!

With this letter, you will find some background information and a graphic that can beused to promote your efforts. We ask that all contributions be directed to the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies who will in turn purchase food for the food banks in your region. All contributions to WFBR are tax-deductible. If you would like to be one of our email and we will send you a full graphics packet with everything you need so foster a

If each of us as citizens does a little, our collective impact can be immense.

Thanks in advance for your support.
